Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane Systems

​UF is the separation of substances selected by size under reduced pressure. With UF, 0.005-0.1 microns are removed. This means the removal of molecules in the range of 1000 to 300,000 daltons (MWCO-Molecular Weight Removal). According to the selected MWCO, the membrane will allow dissolved salts and low molecular weight substances to pass, while the high molecular weight species will concentrate. UF membranes are used in many industries for concentration, purification and diafiltration.
